Emulate long pression of keys

Hello!

I was wondering if it is possible to emulate the long pression
of a device button (i.e. long pressing HOME to open the
Recent Tasks or long pressing VOL DOWN in eBook
readers to go down a page)

I tried to play with Robotium's own sendKey() and then
directly with the source code of sendKeyDownUp() in
the Instrumentation to no avail.

Hi, 

For this you will have to find out which app is intended for these features (HOME, Menu etc..), After getting specific app you will have to re-sing it and all done

This is the way out but I am not about, Android may have some restrictions on accessing utilities apps of device.
