Guys, we will have a project meeting this Friday, April 13, starting at 4 pm, at our LS Building Lab, Room 5926.

Aamoy will be bringing the robot arm to the lab, so if you feel up to it, some of you guys can work on it so that you can learn how to control a robot made of many servos.

I will also teach people how to use ROS (Robot Operating System), and if you don't mind installing Ubuntu onto your laptop, or already have it installed, most of us in the lab can help you install ROS so that you can work on it whenever you want. ROS is the software package that will be controlling our competition RoboMagellan robot, so if you are interested in working on a robot similar to it, it's probably a good idea to learn how to use ROS. ROS has many built-in functions, including computer vision software. You can learn more about it here:

OpenCV, included in ROS:

Finally, I will talk about elections, and post about how elections will work later on Friday.
