Hello everyone, we will have a project meeting today, Friday, February 10, 2012, 5 pm, at our LS Building lab (Room 5926). The line-following robot team will meet at 6 pm today as well.
Guys, if you are not part of any of our project teams, you are welcome to look around, experiment and tinker with stuff as well. Definitely don't be afraid to ask questions to any of us regulars in the lab if you are interested in robotics at all. We are still waiting for some of our robot kits to arrive, but perhaps you guys can stop by to work on some Arduino tutorials, or find out how you can get involved in our latest obsession, which is ARM processor development.
I don't know why, but I personally have a feeling ARM processor development is going to be the next big thing, if it isn't big already, and experience in it will probably look very good in your resumes, for Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineers especially. ARM processors are already very prominent in many of our smart phones, and the Android OS is designed to run on the ARM processor-based phone. I am looking forward to whatever great developments you guys make with this interesting processor, whether it be robotics related or not.
