Hello everyone, there will be a General Meeting on Thursday, February 9, 6 pm, at our LS Building lab (room 5926). The main topic will be to plan for our move to 2nd floor Boelter, possibly in March. We need to figure out what furniture to request from the School of Engineering to furnish the lab for our current and future needs.
This goes to everyone: If you know of any parts, equipment, furniture, etc, that we need to purchase for the lab, please let me know. I know in the past meetings that there are some stuff that you guys are looking for for your projects or research, and we didn't have any, and I kept putting it off because of exams :P. So please remind me about those things by replying back to this email. Even something as insignificant as electrical tape, or as significant as more shelving would be very helpful. If you guys can also help me find where to purchase the items, whether online or local, at a good price, and perhaps also the reason you need the item(s), it would help me to order the items sooner. PLEASE assume I forgot what it is you wanted me to order or find in the lab in the past when giving me this information.
Lastly, I was thinking of having a 'Movie Night' in the very close future, to celebrate the coming of the Raspberry Pi development board. I'm thinking of watching Hackers, from 1995. Regardless of your opinion of the movie, there is a particular reason I wanted to watch this movie:
Angelina Jolie: Indeed. RISC architecture is gonna change everything.
Zero Cool: Yeah. RISC is good.
If you don't understand what I mean, I don't know what to say to you.
Now that introductions are out of the way, what do you guys think about 'Movie Night'?
