Hi

As I understand Robot Framework supports Python-3, does RIDE been upgraded to support Python-3 as well?

I want to install RF-3 and use Python-3 on windows machine. I would like to use RIDE as well but just worried if it's going to ask for Python-2.7.

Must be a general problem and thought forum can help me.

Best Regards

No, RIDE does not support Python 3.

I am working on RIDE for it to be compatible with wxPython 3.0.3 (Phoenix). This will be the wxPython version to work on Python 3, but you may already test with Python 2.7.
After this successful migration, then I'll be migrating RIDE to Python 3.

There is a pre-release at https://github.com/HelioGuilherme66/RIDE/releases/tag/v2.0a2

Hello,

Is Ride is supporting for Python 3?

Because Python 2 is getting obsolete in Jan 2020

Please suggest.

Yes, RIDE now supports Python 3.

There is a problem with the installer on systems different than Windows, but is easily worked around by installing from the code.
The safest mode to install is with:

Please see the https://github.com/robotframework/RIDE/blob/v1.7.3.1/doc/releasenotes/ride-1.7.3.1.rst document for the standard installation process.

I am working on a the 1.7.4 release, which will have it fixed.
