installing wincom32

Hi All,

when I am trying to install AutoIt library It is throwing an error
message as


AutoItLibrary requires win32com. See http://starship.python.net/crew/mhammond/win32/.


And I have downloaded pywin32 and if i am trying to install it It is
throwing the error as

Building pywin32 2.7.217.0
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "setup.py", line 1944, in <module>
""" % dirs).split(),

if os.path.isfile(os.path.join(sdk_dir, "include", "activdbg.h")):

TypeError: object of type 'NoneType' has no len()



I am not able to figure out the problem ...Any help or guidence is
needed to install wincom32./pythonwindows extension

Sorry, I can't help much here. I used ActivePython 2.6 which comes with the required libraries. If you must use Python 2.7, then I suggest you take a look at ActivePython 2.7 and see if it, too, comes with the win32com library for that version of Python.

As the message says, download and install the win32com library from the referenced URL.

Or you can delete your Python installation and download one from ActiveState that includes the necessary win32com library.
