Remote DB access using SSH

Hello RF experts, 

I have a scenario where we have a Database on a remote machine, which we can connect using SSH ( open a tunnel on local) and then portforward the DB to connect to it and querry the DB.

Has anyone already done this for their test or have any guidance for me?
