Hi all,

Robot Framework 3.0.2 has just been released after the release
candidate last week. The main motivation for this releases is fixing a
performance regression already in RF 2.9 with evaluating expressions
using some BuiltIn keywords. There are also few other fixes and
several nice enhancements, like the new `get_keyword_tags` method in
the dynamic and remote library interfaces, and the ability to disable
validation of certain keywords in the dry-run mode. For more details
about all the features and fixes in this release see the release
notes:
https://github.com/robotframework/robotframework/blob/master/doc/releasenotes/rf-3.0.2.rst

The easiest way to install this release is using pip:

pip install --upgrade robotframework

Please report here or in the issue tracker if you encounter any
problems. It would be also interesting to hear do you see any
performance improvements in real life usage. Remote server developers
and maintainers should also think could they support the new
`get_keyword_tags` somehow. I'm going to add it into the Python Remote
Server as soon as I got enough extra time.

This release has been sponsored by the Robot Framework Foundation.
Additionally Nokia Networks has been sponsoring the work related to
performance enhancements.

Cheers,
.peke

RF 3.0.2 is now also available from Maven Central and Maven Plugin 1.4.7 includes Robot Framework 3.0.2. Also available from Maven Central. (Might take an hour or two for the repository to be updated.)

Have fun!
