Hi all,

RoboCon 2019 is already next week and I just sent an info email to the
currently registered participants. Here's the same information also to
this list in case you are coming and didn't get the email or if you
are still thinking should you come. All the same information is also
available at http://robocon.io.

= Conference agenda =

Wednesday, January 16:
- Workshops
- Dinner

Thursday, January 17:
- Conference
- After party

Friday, January 18:
- Sprints
- Sauna

RoboCon 2019 is organized at Helsinki, Finland. The actual conference
is held at Bio Rex at the center of Helsinki and other venues are
close by.

= Workshops =

The conference week starts with workshops on Wednesday. They need to
be paid separately, but prices are pretty cheap compared to normal
training course prices. Workshops are available also for people
not participating the actual conference, so they can be recommend for
colleagues who cannot make there. There's even a basic course for
people new to the framework who'd like to learn more.

The list of workshops is below and more details about them can be
founds via https://robocon.io/#workshops.

09:00-12:00 - Authoring Robot Framework test and task suites with JupyterLab
13:00-16:00 - Hands-on Windows GUI testing with Robot Framework
13:00-16:00 - Robot Framework strategies for the lone tester (covers,
for example, Docker and Appium)
09:00-16:00 - Web Testing using SeleniumLibrary and Robot Framework
09:00-16:00 - Robot Framework basics
09:00-16:00 - Extending Robot Framework (sold out)

= Pre-conference dinner =

After the workshops on Wednesday we have a dinner at Restaurant
Lasipalatsi (the same building where the conference is held the next
day) that provides a great possibility to meet other conference
participants and speakers. The dinner is on own costs (excepts for
speakers) and you must sign up and select a set menu latest on Friday,
January 11 (sorry for late notice). For more details and the sign-up
form see https://robocon.io/#dinner.

= Conference day =

The main conference day is Thursday and the location is Bio Rex pretty
much at the center of Helsinki. Doors open at 8am and there's coffee
and breakfast available. Program starts at 9am and there are
presentations until 6pm with the last hour reserved for 10 minutes
lightning talks. There time for networking after that as well as
during the breaks between the presentations. Conference venue closes
at 7pm.

The after party starts at the same time as the conference ends. It's
organized by Vala exactly like the last year and also this time you
can expect great drinks and delicious snacks. The location is very
close to the conference venue and your conference badge is the
entrance ticket.

For details about the conference schedule see https://robocon.io/#schedule.

= Sprints and sauna =

After the main conference day we still have development sprints on
Friday. Sprints are for you if you want to contribute to some existing
project in Robot Framework ecosystem, have a project or project idea
you'd like to work with others, or just want to meet with other Robot
Framework users and developers. Confirmed projects represented at the
sprints are Robot Framework, SeleniumLibrary and Jupyter plugin.

Sprints start at 10am and the official program ends and sauna opens at
4pm. Sprints are free of charge and pizza and drinks will be provided.
Facilities are provided by Eficode like the last year. For more
information see https://robocon.io/#sprints.

Hope to see many of you at RoboCon!

Cheers,
.peke
