preprocess a bitmap

I was looking at the image caching sample and was wondering if there was anywhere in that example where I could have cropped the bitmap in the background before displaying it each time

I just wanted to point out that after cropping I would have a set of bitmaps that I would like to cache and I wasnt sure how to go about caching the set. the sample caches a single image
