I gave a student access rights for a course, but he/she has no access

I gave a student access rights for a course and I can see that it was successful on my voucher page. However, the student cannot access the course. What did I do wrong?

The student will have access to the course the first time he/she signs in after you have given access. If the student was still signed in at the moment that you distributed the access rights it will not yet show up in the student account. The remedy is simple: just let the student sign off / sign in and he/she is good to go.
