2021 Remote VEX Robotics World Championship Updates

There are two event options for participating in the 2021 Remote VEX Robotics World Championship:
  • Live Remote Skills (LRS) Events (incl. Divisions)
  • Live Remote Tournament (LRT) Events (incl. Morning OR Afternoon Divisions)

The REC Foundation is proud to celebrate Women's History Month through our Girl Powered initiative. Throughout the month, we will be adding to our Girl Powered blog with different highlights and features - be sure to share with teams to inspire them this month.

You can also encourage your friends, family, and team to take our Girl Powered pledge and show your commitment to a diverse robotics community!

Register for a VEX GO Workshop!

Want to get started with VEX GO? Join a FREE virtual Educator Workshop where you’ll be introduced to STEM Labs, coding with VEX Code VR, and the resources you’ll need to implement VEX GO in the classroom! A VEX GO Kit is not needed for the Educator Workshop.

The VEX GO Challenge (VGOC) program is a FREE classroom-based challenge that provides elementary students with the opportunity to extend their learning through participation in multi-level challenges, personal achievement goals & by showcasing their learning as part of the K-College VEX Continuum.

Check out Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy courses!

You can now register for Robotics Academy courses! These online courses (available for VEX IQ and VEX V5) allow participants to log in to a live instruction and Q&A session, where they complete the curricula and other requirements as independent study.

Scholarships available for teams

The Women In Aerospace Foundation Scholarship is for women interested in a career in the aerospace field to pursue higher education degrees in engineering, math, or science. One or more awards will be given each year to a rising senior in college, to be applied during the upcoming academic year. The deadline to apply is June 22, 2021.

Register for a Live Remote Tournament!

Teams can find upcoming Live Remote Tournaments hosted by the REC Foundation this month here. LRT events are usually held every Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Don't forget: teams who wish to compete in the 2021 Remote VEX Robotics World Championship must compete in two LRT events prior to VEX Worlds.
