We recently shared some exciting news on the extension of the robotics competition season and our Remote 2021 VEX Robotics World Championship. We hope this will provide an opportunity for more teams to register and compete this season. Please see the important information below for more details.
Here are the updates for California:

The local competition season for California will be extended until February 28, 2021. This means Event Partners will have more time to post and host events, including remote events. If you would like to host an event, please post it to RobotEvents.com and share the date and event code with me. A couple more events have been submitted for California, so please check RobotEvents.com for the latest event openings.

There is still time to register your team!

Team registration will remain open on RobotEvents.com. If you are getting a late start, don't worry - many teams are in the same situation and we are all moving forward together. Click here to see some great activities to get started in the classroom.

2021 California State Championships
|

Qualifications
Invitations to this year's California State Championships will be sent in the coming weeks. this includes invitations from all local events that have already taken place. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to accommodate the altered season timeline!
Event Info
This year's State Championships will be conducted as a Remote Skills-Only event with Remote Judging. The State Event Partners are still working on details and we will have the State Championship events posted next month. State Championship events will be held in March to accommodate a longer local event season. Teams will receive invitations once all of the California State Championship events are posted to RobotEvents.com.

Award judging for both the California State Championships and Remote VEX Worlds will be conducted remotely. If you are interested in serving as a remote judge for either or both events, please reach out to me directly. Our remote judges play a critical role in recognizing student-centered teams and helping our students grow as lifelong STEM learners.

|
Even though most events will remain remote, teams and communities will start to come together more in the upcoming months and we want to reaffirm that safety will remain our highest priority. An important part of in-person event safety is proper ventilation at a venue. Please read this article shared by Christian Wong, Chair of our Hawaii State Planning Committee, for an article on proper gym ventilation.
