Hahaha... we should buy in bulk and tie a bow before sending the package to him. :-P

Jigsaw Renaissance is a learning and making community, a collaborative community dedicated to collective education and creation. Our mission is to create an environment in which success, failure, and most of all discovery are celebrated. Our vision is that this environment will foster an enduring sense of wonder and a drive to effect change in ourselves, our communities, and the world.

Thanks!

Actually, most of us who have wielded a soldering iron have graduated from the Betty Crocker School of electronic cooking, myself included.  :)

But as Dyson says, we learn from our failures.   You never forget to check (and double check) the polarity of an electrolytic capacitor after frying one spectacularly.  ;p

Yup.

We all deserve the Magic Blue Smoke Monster.

It's in the spirit of Jigsaw that we also celebrate mistakes. From our wiki:

Jigsaw Renaissance is ... a gathering place for geeks and a school for the anti-student. We are a safe space to fail and to succeed.

We believe the world is malleable, everyone is capable of learning and making awesome projects, and inspiration and creativity are found in the margins. Our community acquires and shares skills and information with one another.
