I strongly disagree with the word "preference" when it is used to describe sexual nature. "His sexual preference is...," infers choice, that he sits on the proverbial fence and leans one way or the other; 'bisexual' in other words! Like if he has the option of sex with a female or male at the precise moment of decision, his slant would be one way or the other. 
 
Sexual identification is either hetero or homo, period! "Preference" comes into the equation afterwards to describe a more profound array of what his optimum sexual drive is, in other words the "what turns me on;" the physical attributes and the ultimate 'some assembly required' fantasy lover. Fat, skinny, muscular, large or small endowment, ass shape, big tits, small tits, hair or eye color, etc..., and of course, the age factor!
 
So now we have a third dimension, age, that society has predetermined a magic, blanketed, "one size fits all" legal age of consent! Now that they have established that denominator, a word is needed to describe anyone who breaks that barrier, or "thinks outside the box" of society's comfort level of acceptable sexual desire, namely the word-- pedophile! Another blanketed, "one size fits all" public standard.
 
Now having said that, they've "branded" the human race,  it can be assumed that we are all pedophiles! Most men fantasize about youth, it's proven in numerous sexual studies. Given the opportunity to indulge in the "forbidden fruit" without any risk of discovery, your average man would pounce on that chance without hesitation or remorse! 
 
We are all born sexual beings, it's what separates us from the animal kingdom where sex is simply procreation. Humans thrive, if not 'exist' for sexual gratification! They seek it constantly in thought and exploit alike.
 
God must have erred terribly when he set the age of puberty at such a 'tender' age, (variable between 11 and 13) the very first step in becoming a sexual being! For some reason he didn't deem it necessary to separate puberty and the sexual urges that follow shortly after. Like, 'okay, here's your amazing developing genitalia, but you can't use it till you are #$% old!' Like giving a kid a new toy, but not allowing him to play with it the day of his birthday!
 
Through the virtues of masturbation, the first sexual discovery, various exploratory fantasies will gradually channel and form his sexuality. Preferences will surface as he fine tunes his erotic sessions that will over-ride all others. Society's powerful influence of what is acceptable sexual behaviour may hinder and delay the identity process, but nature will prevail eventually.
 
Nature's intervention can happen at any time, it's unpredictable and unassuming of the age factor! A sexual human being has developed who may grow wearisome of fantasy and crave to explore the physical aspect. He will begin to seek out a safe partner with little risk of exposure to his peers and perhaps find that solice in an adult male.
 
Even civilization's of historical yore must have erred when inter-generational homosexuality was acceptable, if not encouraged in their mainstream of culture.
 
Therefore, is society's lawmakers not being hypocritical and presumptuous by imposing such ludicrous sanctions on very normal human sexual composite?I wrote this a few years ago, think you guys will
