I may be wrong, but the way I understand opother is that he used the
rubber bands to provide a springy packing in the end cap to push the
N2O cartridge more tightly against the inlet valve. If this is
indeed
the procedure he used, the only reason that I can see that would make
o-rings any more appropriate than rubber bands is that they're of a
better quality material and might stay springy for a longer period of
time --- was this your thinking?
