You should've been here in Feb for our annual Mardi Gras Toga Party!
High season has been too busy to put up photos--but some guests have
put some up on this site's Photos page. Brion and the band on the beach
and 200 people in togas! It's become a force of nature!
The ONLY place that's rockin' here with a live, rockin' band is Black
Pearl. Brion James and his group play there Fri/Sat nights. We'd LOVE
to take guests there and hang out! (West Bay)
Sunday we all go to Hole in the Wall on the East End of the island.
Went yesterday with guests of the week--great steak and shirmp!
(Jonesville)
Mid week--there's less going on. Folks visiting here are divers and so
drink and party less. Maybe hike Carambola Sandy Bay--do the mangrove
tour Oakridge--swim with dolphins also Sandy Bay--go to the iguana farm
French Harbour--go to the View for sunset drinks Mid island east of
French Harbour--shop in Coxen Hole at Yabba Ding and others--get the "I
got crabs at Gio's" shirt and try to actually finish a plate of great
crab there French Harbour. Dian's Garden of Eatin is closed this
week--but is usually a MUST DO for wasabi shrimp west end--snorkel or
dive off the walk in reef/wall path in front of Coral Beach Inn--RENT A
BOAT charter a liveaboard and see Pigeon Keys --get a fish for dinner.
RENT A CAR AND EXPLORE!!! The best drive is on the mountian tops from
French Harbour past Oakridge--bring cameras for this.
There is no golf on Roatan.
Don't do?
Don't be a mushroom under the 24/7 care of one real estate agent. Know
the saying about being kept in the dark and fed smelly stuff?
<chuckles>
Get out and discover Roatan! Talk to LOTS of people--hit the high spots
from East to West on the island without a chaperone! Buy some
beers--listen to our stories (we LOVE to gossip)--the wildest stories
are usually the truest.
Meet us--all of us who live here!!!
There's one 22 mile paved road--smaller dirt roads turn off going a
mile or two at most before running into the sea. You can't get lost!
As always, we hope this helps.
