Hi,

In my research, I used a ring-shaped cathode and a disc anode electrode to stimulate the left inferior frontal gyrus (IFG) and the temporoparietal junction (TPJ). I reported the magnitude of the electric field image output from ROAST. However, the reviewers of my article noted that this information may not be particularly informative, mainly because the two target regions are relatively close together. They suggested that I should report the normal component and its direction instead. Please advise me on how to obtain the normal component data using ROAST. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Baki

ROAST cannot output normal components, but you can use the surface mesh to calculate the normal vectors.
