Ichigo's eyes glow with Reiatsu as Zangetsu surges with energy that bursts forward toward Byakuya, extending off the side of Sōkyoku Hill. While running through the streets below, Hitsugaya and Rangiku are shocked upon sensing the release of power behind them, and Ichigo's friends watch in astonishment from below Sōkyoku Hill as the energy kicks up a massive dust cloud, which begins swirling around in a tornado that affects and disperses the clouds far above. With the dust beginning to settle, Byakuya, who had been shielding himself with Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, scatters his blade petals and stares in shock as a black cloak becomes visible within the dust.

As a burst of power from his new blade separates the dust cloud into several concentric, separated rings that quickly vanish, Ichigo stands with his Bankai, Tensa Zangetsu, consisting of a ragged black coat with a red lining and a pure black daitō. However, Byakuya refuses to believe that what he perceives to be an ordinary Zanpakutō could be a Bankai and assumes that this is simply Ichigo gleefully treading on something else the Shinigami hold sacred as he did with the execution ceremony. Proclaiming that he will show Ichigo what happens when he insults their honor, Byakuya masses Senbonzakura Kageyoshi around himself and prepares to attack.
When the Wandenreich invades the Soul Society, Byakuya mourns Lieutenant Chōjirō Sasakibe. Byakuya assists Renji on fighting Stern Ritter F, Äs Nödt. Byakuya activates his Bankai, tells Renji to observe Äs and finds out a way to unseal it after it is sealed. However, Byakuya learns that his Bankai was not sealed, but stolen by the Quincy. Byakuya clashes with Äs, but is easily overwhelmed. Äs Nödt finishes Byakuya off by using his own Bankai against him and smashing him into a nearby wall. When Ichigo breaks free of his imprisonment in the Dangai and arrives at the spot where Byakuya lays wounded, Byakuya asks Ichigo to forgive him for his failure to defeat his enemy and begs him to protect the Soul Society as his dying wish. After the Wandenreich leave, the Royal Guard arrives in the Soul Society, bringing Byakuya with them so that he can be healed. He later returns to the Soul Society sufficiently healed with his strength increased, arriving during Rukia's battle with Äs Nödt. Acknowledging Rukia's growth, he dismisses Äs Nödt's assumption that Byakuya will fight him and instead encourages Rukia to finish Äs Nödt with her own new abilities. After defeating Äs Nödt with her Bankai, Byakuya praises her Bankai but warns her to return to her normal state slowly, commenting on the dangerous nature of her Bankai requiring her to turn her entire body into ice in the process. He subsequently joins Renji, Rukia, and other Soul Reapers to fight against the Wandenreich, tasked with preventing Ichigo from reaching the Soul King's palace. However, the Soul Reapers are overwhelmed by Wandenreich Schutzstaffel Gerard Valkyrie, who grows in size each time he is cut down by the power of "miracles." He orders Rukia and Renji to go join Ichigo at the Soul King's palace, while Byakuya, Toshiro Hitsugaya, and Kenpachi Zaraki continue to try and subdue Gerard Valkyrie.
In general, the Dragon Miraculous is a choker with a crystal bead. In charged mode, when Longg inhabits it, is a black choker that has a sangria black bead-like pendant with a red center and five red vertical lines on the front on it. If a minor is using the miraculous, the choker starts running out of power, they make a beeping sound, and the vertical lines start disappearing (one part is equivalent to one minute) Kagami (or another Dragon Miraculous holder) has left.
Its special weapon is an unbreakable red sword with a black leather handle. It has a circle that separates the blade from the handle. In it are three teardrop shapes colored light gray, blue, and yellow. There are two gold spikes protruding from the circle heading upwards. This can also be utilized as both a weapon, a communicator, and an object that can be used to breathe underwater. Its special superpower, the Dragon Miraculous Superpower gives the user the ability to transform into one of three elements: water, wind, or lightning in order to obtain their goal, like defeating a villain. As long as the superpower isn't used by a minor, the wielder can remain transformed indefinitely. However, as soon as once all three elemental transformations are used, the wielder loses power, and the transformation wears off in about approximately five minutes. The beaded choker also has the ability to give the wielder the costume they truly desire.
On his second transformation, Monarch only used his Butterfly Miraculous, which was located at its previous location, but his suit had changed regarding the last one. It is now similar to the one he had as Hawk Moth, but had a dark purple tailcoat over its jacket with a big black butterfly-shaped lapel. On his head, he had a hooded mask covering the upper half of his face, with the front part being shaped as a butterfly. He continued having the purple skin and the eyes he had on his unified form. On his fingers, he had a set of rings (the other Miraculous in their reforged form), each had a symbol of the Miraculous he formerly had, that he used to transfer the power of the Miraculous to his akumatized villains, with them being positioned like this: Mouse on his left thumb, Dragon on his left index finger, Bee and Goat on his left middle finger, Dog on his left ring finger, Tiger on his left pinky finger, Ox on his right thumb, Horse and Monkey on his right index finger, Fox and Snake on his right middle finger, Turtle and Rooster on his right ring finger and Pig on his right pinky finger. He also wears a regular Alliance ring on his left index finger.
Godou prepared for battle against Pallas Athena, and the King of the End, realizing it is one month from the anniversary of his becoming a Campione. With the aide of his allies, he tracks down Pallas Athena, and confronted her. They battle, Athena releasing the seal on her divinity, and Godou summoning the Boar. After blows are traded, she reveals that, once the King of the End has been summoned, she plans on unsealing her divine abilities, and transforming into a serpent to fight him to the death, as she hates the idea of being forced to serve the man who stole her powers. Meanwhile, the Wind King, servant of the King of the End, finally tracks down his place of rest, and summons the three gods of Steel captured by the Arrowhead Discus, who together begin the ritual to awaken the King. The King of the End awakened, and Pallas Athena unsealed her power to try and defeat him, but is easily defeated. Godou was able to escape with the aide of Luo Han, who was weakened in the battle, bringing the dying Pallas Athena with them, sealed within Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi. Once they had recovered, the group gathered with his allies to try and figure out how to face the King of the End, with the end result being they decided they must uncover the King's real name. While pondering the question of the King's identity, Godou was summoned to the Netherworld by the Princess with the Glass Eyes, who revealed herself to be a Divine Ancestor who was Ancestress to all Hime-Miko, and the King of the End's wife. She showed memories of the past, when the King of the End had been summoned to defeat an ancient Campione, and how she was then summoned as a sacrifice to empower him even more. She then revealed the true name of the King of the End. With this information, Godou began to make a plan to face the King of the End.
As Vegeta and Goku manage to fuse into Vegito, Zamasu wonders to himself why mortals would try and imitate the gods, declaring it sinful. He is interrupted by Vegito's punch square in the face because of getting tired of his talk. Vegito ascends into Vegito Blue, and the two begin their battle, and at first, Vegito seems to have the upper hand. Vegito mocks Zamasu, asking if this is really the power of a god. Zamasu angrily knocks Vegito to the ground. Zamasu then attempts to finish off his opponent with his ki blade, but Vegito counters with one of his own. After Vegito explains that Zamasu is technically also mortal due to fusing with Goku's body, Zamasu proclaims that's what his desire was; by obtaining the power of Goku, who surpassed the gods despite being mortal, he symbolized all the failures the gods have made, atoning for the sins of mortals and the mistakes of the gods.
Lucky Charm: A special superpower used by Mister Bug. Mister Bug flings his yo-yo high into the air, and energy shoots out from it. It spins around until it forms an object that is red with black polka dots. By observing the area around him, Mister Bug can figure out how to use this object for what he desires, like defeating a villain. These objects are usually lackluster, such as everyday items like forks and cloths, but it seems that the Miraculous makes anything he can use to win. After the Akuma and/or the Amok is removed from the villain and captured by Mister Bug, he is able to utilize the "Miraculous Mister Bug". He throws the object that he summoned into the air, where it reverts back into energy that goes around to fix the damage done since the villain's creation. While Lucky Charm is a very helpful superpower, Mister Bug has to be careful when he utilizes it, as he runs out of power and must revert back to normal about five minutes afterward.
More specifically, inside ROOM and with the use of a blade, the user can perform long-ranged spatial slicing to cleanly sever flesh and bone without actually hurting the victim. People separated by this ability are not killed and can still feel their separated parts, regardless of the distance (much like Buggy when he separates himself using the Bara Bara no Mi). Internal organs removed by this ability will become vulnerable and unprotected. The effects of this application of the Ope Ope no Mi persist even after the ROOM is disengaged. Separated parts can be reassembled back to normal or be mixed-up and (re)attached in any manner the user sees fit, such as sticking someone's severed head onto other surfaces, including inanimate objects, or onto someone or something else's body. However, even if a victim gets reassembled back to normal, the possibility of said body parts splitting up once more with the appropriate injury still exists; this happened with Kin'emon during the war against the Beasts Pirates (after Kaidou pierced him with a sword in the spot his legs were first split by Law), a long time after his reassembly back in the Punk Hazard Arc.[8][9][10] Apparently, victims with Devil Fruit powers still retain their abilities after being cut into pieces, but only parts with "conscience" (i.e. the head) seem to be able to access them while in this state. Devil Fruit users who have been split by this power will still feel the effects of seawater if one of their body parts has been submerged.[11] When the cutting power is used on a non-living object, the effect will result as if it were a normal cut.[12]
