Hello fellow paddlers!!
I just spoke with the ED of Futa Friends about the volcanic activity in Chile and have some happy news!!
He says that the river and the Futaleufu area were really minimally affected by the volcano. That there was 6 inches of ash and that most of that has washed away. His main concern was that the tourism not be affected by all of the negative stuff in the news. While he says that Chaiten was really impacted, the Fu is still pristine and amazing and waiting for us to come and have more fun!!
