Overriding nil response

Is there a way to override all the attributes that return null into "" (empty string)?

I am using Rails

There is an option render_nil: which renders to nil. Why do you need an empty string? Representable is still 2.0.0.rc1 so if you bring up a good reason I might include it for Roar 1.0 :)
