Portland Event for ROAR on 10/18, With You on the Journey

I wanted to share a project I am involved with on the ROAR Alliance. I believe it is one of a kind, perhaps you have heard of it.

The performance is called With You on the Journey, it is free and open to the public at the First Unitarian Church of Portland, Oregon on October 18th at 2pm. 

We are a group of 10 family members of inmates and we are reading monologues written about the experience of having a loved one incarcerated. The performance is modeled after the Vagina Monologues and is the culmination of a series of 6 writing workshops that took place this summer.  

I've attached a flyer and the press release about the event. 

We hope to wake people up who are uninitiated and make others with similar experiences feel seen.
