Friends,
In order to kick off PRIDE week, Roanoke Pride is doing a PRIDEWORKS Community Service Day next Saturday, September 11. We'll be working with Habitat for Humanity as we give back to our community and build bridges of hope and understanding. Please, join us! We'll meet at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Blue Ridge (806 Jamison Ave. SE) at 9:00 am and then head out to our work sites. Please plan to wear old clothes. We'll work until about 4:00 pm. For those who are interested, we'll meet for dinner at Macados Downtown (120 Church Ave. SW) at 6:00 pm. If you live out of the area and want to do dinner, bring a change of clothes. I'm sure someone who lives locally will be gracious enough to allow you take a shower at their house and get cleaned up before dinner.
