I stopped by th'Knob today...saw Bill James,Phillip,Clark,
and Mark Johnson and a few hawks including
a beautiful adult Red-shouldered. Mark and I were looking at some
other birds and saw a striking Fox Sparrow
and two Pine Siskins flew over... calling. I think FOS for
these two species for both of us.
I got an update on the Lynchburg area year list competition
... Mark said there are about a half a dozen
birders there with between 185 and 210 species seen (Lynchburg Area)
since 1 Jan 'o9. That is quite a feat !!
