Neighbors, It’s been a while since I’ve written on this string, as
I have stepped back from my responsibilities as contact person for
Preserve Bent Mountain. Bruce Coffey, copied here, is our new
contact person for “all things PBM.” But I wanted to share the
link for this article on a film regarding our MVP challenge—
you’ll recognize friends and neighbors, as well as the Mountain,
in the film. Director James Mottern and his incredibly committed
and talented team have devoted themselves, over the course of
several years, to making this film. I encourage you to watch the
trailer, and attend the festival or watch on one of the streaming
services— all linked at the end of the article linked below. Our
challenge to MVP continues in pipeline safety issues here on the
Mountain and beyond, in gas infrastructure buildout in the
southeast, and particularly with MVP‘s recent efforts to build a
compressor in Elliston. Please join us in Boone for the Friday,
February 27 screening, or watch the film by way of links below.
Take good care, and happy 2026-
Bert Roberta Bondurant
