Thanks to Ann Rogers and all the other activists who have fought this
monstrous idea for decades.

Dear I-73 Activists,

I am writing to let you know that the Commonwealth Transportation Board
(CTB) Action Meeting Agenda for September 17 includes a decision on
rescinding the May 2001 decision approving the I-73 Corridor.

This means that I-73 in Virginia is finally being cancelled by the CTB.

Mark Barker and I would like to invite all of you to join us on
September 17 to attend the CTB's meeting at Hotel Roanoke, where we can
witness the state's cancellation of I-73. We do not intend to engage in
any public demonstrations at this meeting.

After the CTB meeting, we'd like you to gather with us in the hallway
outside The Shenandoah Room to make plans for a celebration event!

Here's the agenda for Tuesday, September 17 -->

#1
WHAT: Commonwealth Transportation Board meeting
WHERE: Hotel Roanoke, The Shenandoah Room
WHEN: 9 a.m.

#2
WHAT: Informal gathering to plan a celebration event
WHERE: Hotel Roanoke, hallway outside The Shenandoah Room
WHEN: Following the end of the CTB meeting.

The CTB's announcement of the September 17 meeting appears at:
https://townhall.virginia.gov/l/ViewMeeting.cfm?MeetingID=40495

Please click on “Meeting Agenda”. The resolution to rescind I-73 in
Virginia appears on pages 67-74 of the agenda document. I’ve attached a
copy of the I-73 resolution.

Please don't hesitate to reply to this email or call me.

Thank you and hope to see you soon!
