inconsistent TIE values for station 4001

Hello, 

I'm doing an internship where I need road surface temperatures to validate a model, I've been collecting for a month now at a certain number of station and particularly at the 4001 station (https://tie.digitraffic.fi/api/weather/v1/stations/4001/data) 

But I started looking at it in the details and the values of road surface temperature aren't at all consistent (except for 4 days at the beggining of the month), they are constant over long period of time and reaches -60°C or also 40°C. 

Is this known ? Is there a problem with the sensors of the station ? Will it be fixed ?

thanks for the question. According to station maintenance, sensors reporting those types of values are malfunctioning. They won't be fixed at least until after summer resurfacing work is completed. In the meantime, you should probably ignore values that are obviously unnatural.

Thanks for the answer, another question, do you know where are the road temperature sensors at this station (4001), We tried to see it on google view, but it's not that clear and it's like it's on only one side of the road ? Do we have them on the opposite sides of the road ?
