RTP Trip File problem getting it over to iPhone

Is it just me or is there a problem with the iPhone App running Road Trip Planner?  I create a new file on my Mac Desktop, all's well on the Trip, but when I try to send it over to my iPhone using the iPhone File App I run into problems.  The first time it did copy it but when I  tried to open it I get an Error saying the file is bad.  So then I deleted it and tried it again. This time it either doesn't copy it over to the iPhone at all, or it gives me an error saying There's already a copy of the file on my iPhone, when I deleted it prior to copying it over.

My Mac is brand new running Big Sur, my iPhone is the new iPhone 12 Pro Max w/ 128GB Memory.

Assuming you’re using the latest versions of both apps, there are no known issues. 

How are you sending the file to the iPhone? iCloud or something else?
