Will there be a RTP update to enable it to run under Apple Silicon?

Great thought but it already runs on Apple Silicon. Purrrhaps you mean "to run under macOS 27?"

I sure hope so as I use and depend on the macOS version of RTP all the time. I recall the developer was looking to sell the rights / code many years ago but they have continued to do bug and other updates even since then.

I have other apps I use lots that have made no mentioned of macOS 27 development. :-(

I believe the more pertinent and EXPLICIT question is: Will RTP, which is of application type “Universal” continue to run on the Apple M# (M3, M4, M5, etc) series chips once Apple discontinues the Rosetta app? Saying it runs on “Apple Silicon” now is of little comfort to those of us who rely on the App’s continued use to plan road trips, since Rosetta is still part of the built-in Mac-OS support.

IMHO, I think that a clarification is warranted.

Best regards,

Jim Augeri

RTP Mac has run native on the silicon chip for years. The silicon chip includes the M series, starting with the M1 and continuing with the latest M series chip. If there are any issues with a future MacOS update we will address it at that time.

A universal app does not rely on Rosetta to work. It runs natively on Apple Silicon.
