Race Director's Roundtable

This year's Race Director's Roundtable meeting will be held on
Thursday, March 10 at the Roundabout Diner on the Portsmouth traffic
circle. The meeting will start at 6:30. This gathering is so that race
organizers and those who provide race services to race organizers can
gather to discuss various aspects of hosting a successful road race.
Everyone is welcome, whether they are brand-spanking new to organizing
road races or have years of experience. The goal of the meeting is to
provide information and answer questions that will help everyone who
is interested and involved host a successful road race. When a road
race is a success, we all benefit. So there is no good reason why we
can't all share information that will help each of us to succeed.
The fee to participate in this session is $15 per person. Thanks to
John Mortimer at Millennium Racing/Strand, we'll have appetizers, and
each participant will receive tickets for 2 drinks from the bar. After
that, it will be a cash bar.
If you'd like to participate in this meeting, please send an email to
me at coastwalker1 'at' gmail.com. Please include your name, email
address, race affiliation(s), and year's experience as a race
organizer. The fee will be collected at the Roundabout Diner on March
10.

I have timed raced since 2002 for Yankee Timing and have produced several
hundred races over the past 8-9 years - mostly smaller events of 50-400
runners. I have also worked on logistics for at least a half dozen half
marathons around the country.
I attended last year.

This is killing me. I really wanted to come but I have to chair my running
club meeting on the same day and time. Have fun and please post what gets

I am directing my first race. The April Fool's Four Mile Road Race on
March 26th in Salisbury Ma.
