ATV SW: Embedded Software |

General Purpose · Platform enabler software development and testing for Infineon’s Automotive & Industrial chipset Areas of Responsibility · Microcontroller Device Driver Software development and validation for various peripherals of Infineon’s automotive microcontrollers based on TriCore and ARM-Cortex-Mx (e.g. CAN, SPI, I2C, LIN, FlexRay, UART, Flash, Timers, PWM, etc).Development of application specific drivers & libraries. Author architecture, design, test specifications and customer documents.· · Participate in software requirements analysis and ambiguity resolution.
Interfaces: · Project Manager, Program Manager, Application Engineers, 3rd party consultants. Education: · B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/Instrumentation Experience: · 1-3 years of experience. · Embedded system software development/validation in C, assembly languages & SDLC. · Good knowledge of computer architecture (16/32bit), real-time systems. · Experience in standards such as AUTOSAR, IEC61508, ISO26262 is desirable . · Acquaintance with development tool-chains such as GNU, Tasking, Keil, RVCT etc. · Good working knowledge of debuggers such as PLS, Lauterbach etc. · Proven ability to work with standard lab equipment - oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power benches etc . · Good team player in a multi-site work environment. |

ATV VV: PCB Design Engineer |

General Purpose: · The candidate will be responsible for the design and validation of validation/customer boards within Verification and Validation team. He/She will contribute to the Si development / validation for MC D organization for ATV. Areas of Responsibility · Collect requirement from VV team on validation board and understand the use models . · Ramp on Tri-Core and peripheral devices as well as interface bus on validation boards. · Create schematic including creation of library elements using schematic capture tools. · Debug failing boards, then work with validation & verification engineers, designers and architects to resolve issues. · Technical owner of the validation board . · Ramp on Silicon validation using functional and requirement based validation methodologies to effectively design and deliver the quality board. · Build a collaborative environment across different Geos (Munich, Bristol, Singapore) and maximize contributions to the organization. · Contribute in the area of Board Design expand the influence across MC D organization with positive impact. · Meet or exceed customer expectations .
Interfaces: · Board design team in Bangalore, Munich (Board Design Methodology alignment), ADC boards in Villach. · Verification (IP & SoC) and Validation team across MC D organization. · Designers, Concept Engineers, Project Managers, and Program Managers across MC D. Education: · Must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or equivalent. Experience: · 1-3 years experience in PCB design and validation. · The ideal candidate will have experience in PCB layout design, PCB fabrications and PCB design flow. · Experience/familiarity of tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics schematics editor, Cadence ORCAD, Allegro Viewer, PADS PCB ORCAD, PADS, ALLEGRO and Altera Quartus. · Understanding of SI and thermal analysis is a plus. · Experience in Silicon validation using functional and requirement based validation methodologies. · Exposure to IP modules such as CAN, LIN, USB, Ethernet, etc. · Familiarity with Post-Si validation concepts, test plans, post-Si validation environment, and test writing/debug. · Experience in using lab equipments such as Oscilloscopes, Protocol Analyzers/Exercisers, Mid-bus Probes, Logic Analyzers, JTAG based Debuggers etc. · Familiarity in programming languages such as C, Assembly, Perl / Shell scripting, etc. is plus. · Working knowledge of UNIX, Windows and embedded operating system . · Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills. · Exposure to test development on system simulators and emulators is an advantage. · Experience in working with cross-site organizations is a must. · Schematic capture in Orcad or Cadence tools - Layout in Allegro. · Interpreting the requirements from system specifications and/or verbal inputs (completion of the specification of) the detailed requirements of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly. · Creation of the schematic including creation of library elements using schematic capture tools such as ORCAD. · PCB design for analog, RF, power supplies and high speed digital circuits. · Schematic entry in Candence OrCAD and / or Mentor Graphics tools. · Board layout review, gerber review, Board bring-up and functional testing. · Need to debug failing boards, then work with validation & verification engineers, designers and architects to resolve issues. · Successful engineers can anticipate failure modes, and write test content to stress the design and identify bugs. · The quality of the design and the final product is directly proportional to the quality of the Silicon validation work. · Behavioural traits for this position include: Strong problem solving and tolerance of ambiguity. · Strong discipline and attention to detail in ensuring effective and high quality board design that minimizes bug escapes to higher levels of validation . · Contributing to process improvements where applicable, and gaining domain expertise to be able to independently validate effectively. |

ATV VV: Validation & Verification |

General Purpose: · The candidate will be responsible for verification/validation of individual IP Modules and/or SoC within Verification and Validation team. He/She will lead one or more functional areas and contribute to the Si development / validation for MC D organization for ATV.
Areas of Responsibility · Development of Pre-Silicon verification and Post-Silicon validation collateral & methodologies · Writing verification / validation tests and execute by simulating and/or running on Silicon · Candidates will need to debug failing tests, then work with designers and architects to resolve issues · Successful candidates can anticipate failure modes, and write test content to stress the design and identify bugs · Candidate will analyze coverage gaps and develop strategies to fill coverage holes · The quality of the design and the final product is directly proportional to the quality of the design verification & validation work. · Strong discipline and attention to detail in ensuring effective and high quality verification that minimizes bug escapes to higher levels of validation . Interfaces: · VV and SW team members in BLR, Munich, Singapore & Bristol. · Verification (IP & SoC) and Validation teams across MC D organization. · Designers, Concept Engineers, Project Managers, and Program Managers across MC D.
