installation issues

Hello,

I am interested in using RNACompass. I have been following the instructions on your manual to install it. I downloaded apache, tomcat and configured RNACompass according to the instructions on section 2.2. However when I try to access the webserver through http://localhost:8080/RNACompass/ I get an error message. I was wondering if anyone can help me through the error message.

From the error message, RNACompass did not launch successfully because of configuration issue. Could you tell me what the tomcat version is and what platform you installed?

I am using Ubuntu LTS 12.04 and the tomcat version I have is 7.0.53.

I'm getting the same issue. I tried it on RedHat and on Windows. It's Tomcat 8.0.11 on RH, 7.0.55 on Windows.

What could be causing this?

We have not tested it on windows platform. We do tested it on linux and mac platforms. Sorry for that!

Thanks for the report. Apologies for the installation issue. Could you send me two screen shots for tomcat/webapps and tomecat/bin/properties? I am not sure if you missed some configuration files.
