Good Afternoon RATS,

 

I have been texting with Norm and have some updates.  If you were at the rally in Meeker you know Norm needs re-constructive surgery for his ureatha and has been on a catheter for the last month or 2.  Unfortunately Norm suffered severe chest pains a week ago last Thursday and had to call 911.  The EMT’s took him to the hospital and the diagnosis was DVT and right leg blood clots.  One of the clots made it to his left lung causing a pulmonary embolism.  They sent him by ambulance to the ICU at St. Anthony’s in Lakewood.  They treated him for 2 days and nights and he is now on Eloquis and back home.  Of course the ureatha surgery was canceled.  He will meet with his urology team next week to come up with a plan B.  Norm will stay with Dan for a couple days next week as Julie will be out of town.

 

On another unpleasant note, Doc called Norm and advised that he has had a 2nd stroke and spent a week at Denver Health for treatment but is back at home recovering now.
