Just left a meeting at Foothills and our April 11th meeting is a "go" as follows:

Meeting at 10 o'clock at Foothills

Aiming to get presentation started between 10.30-11.00,consisting of a video presentation,some DGR stuff and q & a.Guest speaker will be Ron Francis.l will post a follow-up e- mail closer to the time

Hello all

I very nearly forgot to post this,meeting  Saturday April 11th at Foothills Motorcycles at 10 am.Ron Francis will be here to present his introduction to motorcycling.lf any of you have a good motorcycling story ( l am sure Steve Smith has a ton of them).You might win one of 3 Peace,Love,Moto coffee mugs!

Remember that the BMW Riders of Colorado and the  Indian Owners Club will also be attending,So arrive early for your prime parking spot.See you all on Saturday

Who among us has not yet read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"?

 

By the way, my second motorcycle was the same one that Robert Pirsig rode: a red 305cc Honda Superhawk, 28 hp and a top speed of 100 mph.   I never thought, in 1965, when I rode mine from Manhattan KS to El Paso TX and back, that I would ever need a more powerful motorcycle.

I first met Ron at the 2025 DGR in Fort Collins.Been working since that time for Ron to be a guest at an upcoming RAT meeting.lf you have not done so,listen to one of the pod cast episodes,Peace,Love,Moto.l found the episodes very inspiring.See you Saturday Dan

Dan,

I haven’t read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance yet. So no spoilers please.

I did listen to Ron Francis’ latest podcast cast, it is short, about 12 minutes. I agree with E-Steve that it had a nice positive message. 

Also I got an idea for a route I can take my mother driving on to see a bit of Colorado. Note, my 85 year old mother with bad hips is not getting on my bike. Heck, she told all of us we are not allowed to ride. 3 of us have licenses, 2 rode behind their husbands, and one is a nurse that won’t ride. So, the ban had a 18.5% success rate.
