Distinguished Young Women (DYW) Scholarship Program Distinguished Young Women
Class of 2026!
Scholarship Program is a national nonprofit with a program in each state and Washington D.C. It is not a beauty pageant - and focuses more on scholastics and service with components that will nudge these young women out of their comfort zone to build life skills, such as public speaking, interview etiquette, confidence and so much more!
This program has been in existence since 1958 and it is the largest scholarship program for high school girls in the nation, awarding $1 BILLION in cash and in-kind scholarships to college partners throughout the U.S. - including to Hood College! (see attached flyer below). Participants can each receive scholarship opportunities just by participating!
The DYW program is only open to girls in their junior year of high school (11th grade) - so it truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
