Hi,
I am trying to fit some TOF bragg data using the BRAGG section in
the .dat file along with the .inst, .hkl, .bragg, and .back files.
The problem is that the peak shapes are not correct. It seems all the
information from the GSAS fit (which looks good) was extracted
correctly using the get_gsas_bragg program. However, when I run RMC
on the files, the profiles are sharply cut off on the higher TOF side
of each peak. It's more of a problem at low TOF values. I'm using
the gsas1 profile parameters, and noticed when I change the first
parameter (alp-0) to 0 (from the refined value of around 0.5) the peak
shapes look a lot closer to correct, but it's still not right. The
data was collected from the HIPD instrument at LANL. Is there maybe a
bug in the program when using the gsas1 profile type? I've been
trying everything I can think of with no success...
Thanks,
Nate

Hi Nate,

The gsas1 peakshape option isn't used very much, so I will have a check to see if it has been broken in version 6 (or indeed if it has always been a bit broken).

Best wishes,
Matt
