Here's a quick test to see just what R'lyeh reports through G-mail will look like.

This is what I was talking about last July. I'm proud to say most of those books have released in the last 12 months...

BBQ & Gun Powder

Once a year my quiet mountain town is transformed into a paradise for ATV enthusiasts, marathon barley water imbibers, and amateur pyrotechnicians. It's a wonder the town hasn't burned down yet. So before some enthusiastic patriot runs his truck into a power pole, again, I will get this report out.

Spiraling Worm almost here

This title has spent a lot more time at the printer than any of us would have expected. Last we heard, the Canadian printer ship this latest Call of Cthulhu fiction book tomorrow. So we should have copies available next week.

Secrets of Los Angeles is in the final stages layout, editing, and fussing. It'll be sent off to the printer some time this month. That means it has a reasonable chance of becoming available in August.

There are several books lined up for September and after. I've previously mentioned Frontier Cthulhu (fiction), The Strange Cases of Rudolph Pearsen (fiction) and our BRP roleplaying system. Let me add that Mysteries of the Worm 3rd edition is likewise an autumn possibility. The order in which these books release is largely up to when various bits of art arrive and how quickly the manuscripts can be lovingly crafted into finished books. If I were inclined to guess, I'd say Frontier Cthulhu is likely to see print next.

I suspect those four books will carry us to the end of the year. However, there may be a project or two the Californians are keeping secret. They generally don't trust me with information until the last possible moment.

Before you rise up on my behalf and storm the Hayward office I'll let you in on something. I have a secret project of my own as well which I won't be telling them about until the last possible moment. So it all balances out.

Oh dear.  The fireworks have already started. I'd best speed things up while the town still has working telecommunications.

Halloween Adventure Contest #3 is underway.

Swing by

New Monograph: Mythos Magic

We have a new monograph releasing next week. Mythos Magic is a good read and has really inspired me. Check it out when you can. We have 5 other monographs in house. I expect they should all be available by the end of August so do keep an eye on the catalog.

Monograph Submissions

Why stop at five? We're open to new monograph submissions for both Call of Cthulhu and BRP gaming. You can check out the guidelines at:

Volunteer GM's wanted

Finally, if you're the sort of person who enjoys running Call of Cthulhu at conventions or game shops drop me a line about our Chaosium Missionary program.

I can hear the ATVs lining up outside my office for the big parade. It's only a matter of time before the entire town slips into bedlam. So I'll head off to soak the yard and ready the first aid kit. Good Day and Good Luck!
