Cousin Marina was mugged Monday night in SC and sustained a nasty broken finger in addition to losing her purse.

She had surgery today to repair the fracture.

M is resting comfortably after having a couple of small plates and screws surgically implanted in her right ring proximal joint.  She should be as right as rain in a couple of months.

Patient is snoozing the morning away, a good indication that things are returning to normal.  She ate a little soup last night.  She is in some pain, but it doesn't seem too bad.

P.S.  I'm sure she misses you, too.  She made a point of saying how well she was treated at your house.  Not sure if this was a subtle comment on her treatment here!

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to Marina but am extremely thankful to hear she is alright. I hope that she continues to feel better and recover.
