She should get into a much smaller cast in about a week.
BTW: The surgeon's office contacted my insurance provider about physical therapy for Marina and was told that my insurance covers PT only from the wrist up! I suppose that must be a mistake. If not, it's yet another argument for the single-payer system, IMPO.
