Grandpa Bob is back in his La Costa Glen apartment, arriving this morning around 11. After we (Robert, Amanda, and I) had unpacked his stuff, he had canned soup for lunch, something he routinely turned his nose up at while in Skilled Nursing. But, when Amanda served it, he loved it. Nothing like home cooking, I guess.
He took a nap this afternoon (on his new mattress...and DIDN'T complain), getting up around 3.
When I walked into the room, he turned the sound off on Fox News' latest riveting revelations about our illegal-alien, closet-Muslim president, who as part of his evil plan is intentionally ruining the economy. I can only hope this tendency (to turn off the sound) lasts!
His caregiver ("Barrett", male, native speaker, early 20s, kind of a hunk) arrived at 5:00 PM, and they have been getting to know each other, so to speak.
Grandpa is eating dinner, as I write, with Barrett, who is quite attentive, serving as his personal waiter.
Anyway, so far so good. He is able to move around the apartment without too much trouble. Don't mean to shock any of you, but he's a bit on the grumpy side.
We'll see how he does tonight.
