I read the email you sent to Tony with an update on your father. It made my day. How sweet to picture him ready and waiting to go swim.

Would you please read my email below to him?


Dear Grandpa,

Today I went to Dominican Oaks. This is a retirement community in Santa Cruz. One of our friend's mother has been staying there for the last 8-9 months. Her name is Mimi. She is 88 years old. She is full of life and quite self sufficient. Neither the place nor the food came anywhere close to La Costa Glen. Mimi proudly showed me her plot of garden. She has planted rose bushes, lavender, tomato plants, and few other things. I asked if the drip was working properly for watering. She said there is no drip installed. They are all hand watered, there isn't even a hose. Quite impressive.

I thought of you a lot while I was there. I told Tony, if I had a choice, I would pick La Cost Glen over this place. And this is the best place in Santa Cruz.

Summer time is lovely here. Long naps in the afternoon, followed by quiet evenings, and before too long we are in bed again.

Glad to hear you are becoming a regular at the swimming pool. Hope to talk to you soon.
