Hi Gramps,
I hope this note finds you well and the weekend was good for you. Last night, Ryan and I went to "Star Wars in Concert" at the Hollywood Bowl. I have never seen so many people dressed up as Star Wars characters before! It was basically a symphony playing the themes from the movies with visual clips to match. The actor who played C-3P0 narrated it, and for the encore, as a special treat, John Williams (the composer) came out and directed the last piece. Pretty incredible experience, and so many people! When the sun set, we could look back over the crowd, and instead of seeing lighters (like you used to) or cell phones (the current trend) people were waving light sabers!
Right now Ryan is making a delicious steak dinner and then it's time for bed and another week. I only have 5 weeks left in AmeriCorps, and then it's summer job search time and I start Claremont in the fall!
I am always pleased to hear updates of your progress from the Nelson Children - they are all doing such a great job of keeping everyone informed.
I am sending lots of love your way, and look forward to seeing you sooner than later! I think of you often, and pray for your speedy progress to a complete recovery.
