Dear colleagues,

Please join us on Friday, June 5th, 2026, in Vienna, Austria (co-located with ICRA 2026) for a full-day workshop dedicated to bridging the robot learning and human-robot interaction communities together.

👉 Abstract:
Despite remarkable advances in robot learning and HRI, there is a gap between the two fields and many researchers in the two fields make simplified assumptions about each other. This workshop is a space to bridge this gap.

Accepted submissions will be featured in the Next Gen Spotlight & Poster Presentation.

📌 Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
• Robot learning methods that account for how everyday humans teach robots
• HRI studies that evaluate user expectations and inform robot learning design
• Work on aligning assumptions between human users and robot learners
• Collaborative human-robot teaching approaches
• Frameworks integrating technical learning with human factors

📅 Important dates:
• Rolling submissions open: January 1st, 2026
• Final deadline: May 15th, 2026 (23:59:59 PST)
• Notifications: Rolling
• Workshop: June 1st or June 5th, 2026
