Research internships at Secondmind, UK

Dear all,

We have just opened three paid research internship positions at Secondmind, based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Secondmind is home to a world-class, cross-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers. Led by Professor Carl Rasmussen and Dr Victor Picheny, the team publishes at top ML venues including NeurIPS, ICML, JMLR and ICLR.

The placements are four months long and are targeted at PhD candidates further along in their PhD. The overall area for the placements is Probabilistic modelling and Bayesian optimisation. Applicants need to have the right to work in the UK. 

Job advert can be found here, which also includes a link to a document with general topics we are interested in working on and some specific placement proposals. Note that it is also possible for applicants to propose their own topics for the placement, within our fairly broad topics.
