The Learning & Intelligent Systems Lab @ TU Berlin is seeking for a
PhD candidate with a strong background in AI & robotics. The project
(a cooperation with Amazon Robotics) investigates the application of
optimization, learning and robotics methods for planning highly
efficient object manipulation by robots, and offers a very interesting
research environment in cooperation with Amazon Robotics. The position
offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD in this topic.

The Learning & Intelligent Systems Lab
(<https://argmin.lis.tu-berlin.de/>) focuses on research in the field
of AI and Robotics, in particular methods that combine AI planning,
machine learning and optimization to solve fundamental problems in
Robotics and AI. The department is part of the Cluster of Excellence
Science of Intelligence and the ELLIS network.

Requirements:
* Successfully completed university studies (Master, Diplom or
equivalent) in computer science or a similar technical subject.
* Ideally in-depth knowledge of robotics motion planning, robotics
manipulation, and optimization methods.
* Programming experience in the context of the aforementioned methods.
* Very good command of English.
