I'm looking for outstanding candidates to apply for a post-doc fellowship in the area of world models and reinforcement learning for traffic signal control at the University of Toronto.

The candidate should have an extensive publication record in top-tier machine and reinforcement learning venues and ideally some publications and/or experience in traffic systems.

Post-docs are expected to publish in top research venues, to produce high-quality deliverable code for use by research funding partners, and to help provide research supervision.

Deadline: Supported applicants will need to prepare and submit a fellowship application by early February 2026 with notification in April 2026.  Commencement of the post-doc would be expected no later than September 2026.

If you are interested, please email ssa...@mie.utoronto.ca with the following:
(a) your CV (clearly listing all publications and date PhD granted / expected),
(b) your github public account link with projects that I can browse (if you don't have this, please do not apply),
(c) 1-2 sentences in your email stating your interests in conversational recommendation and why you think you would be appropriate for the position.
