Dear AI scientist/engineer/student/enthusiast,
Dr. Long Pham (University College Cork) will deliver the e – lecture: "Leveraging the AI-on-Demand Platform for AI Research: Opportunities for Postgraduates":
Abstract: This lecture presents a comprehensive examination of the AI-on-Demand Platform (AIoD) and its capabilities for supporting postgraduate research in artificial intelligence. Drawing upon insights from AIoD's recent presence at the 27th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI2025, October 25-30, 2025), this session will explain how postgraduate students can strategically leverage the platform's resources to advance their research objectives. The AIoD platform provides registered users with open access to an extensive repository of AI assets, including curated datasets, state-of-the-art models, development tools, and collaborative services. The lecture will explore how these resources can be integrated throughout the research lifecycle, from data acquisition and exploratory analysis to model development and validation, thereby accelerating research timelines and enhancing methodological rigour. Particular attention will be devoted to AIoD's role as a node for knowledge exchange and professional networking within the European AI research community. The session will demonstrate how postgraduate researchers can utilise AIoD as a collaborative ecosystem that facilitates interdisciplinary connections and supports research dissemination, with case studies from ECAI2025 illustrating successful implementations. The lecture will provide practical guidance on platform registration, resource navigation, and optimisation strategies for maximising AIoD's utility within specific research contexts. Postgraduate students will emerge equipped with actionable knowledge for enhancing their research capabilities through strategic engagement with the platform, thereby contributing to the advancement of data-driven AI research and innovation across European academic contexts.
