Full time position: Research Engineer, Reinforcement Learning at Phantasma Labs in Germany

We are opening a new full time position which can be done remotely from Germany, at my company, Phantasma Labs.

At Phantasma, we model human motion for safe testing of new forms of mobility, such as self driving cars. 

 

Who we are looking for

• 2+ years of work experience in industry or academia
• 
  
• Strong background in Reinforcement Learning with expertise in one or more:
• Reinforcement learning
• Learning from demonstrations/Imitation Learning
• Deep Learning
• Trajectory Prediction, Trajectory Forecasting
• 
  
• Fluency in Python
• Knowledge of common ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
• Strong programming skills with proven experience prototyping and delivering advanced algorithmic solutions
• Ability to communicate results to team members from different backgrounds
• Enjoying supporting more junior team members in their development
• Comfortable working on new solutions
• Being excited about new technologies, ambitious in pursuing solutions and humble and respectful in sharing knowledge with others
• You are able to communicate fluently in English
• Growth mindset
• Team player

• Experience with Ray/Rllib

Day to Day as a Phantasma Engineer

• Keep up to date with technological trends by reviewing academic and research papers and implement them in code
• Evaluate different learning methods to train, optimize and validate agent models using trajectory data
• Comfortable using visualization tools for representing important results
• Interpret data to extract, filter and classify vital metrics
