The 36th International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS 2026) invites tutorial proposals on all aspects of AI planning and scheduling!

Proposals may target topics such as:

  • Software engineering best practices for developing/testing, planning & scheduling systems

  • Neural-symbolic methods & theory for integrating symbolic solvers with neural models

  • Generative AI techniques (e.g., LLMs) for planning and scheduling

  • Machine learning & reinforcement learning for planning tech

  • Scalable planning & robust control of complex dynamical systems with ML-based state estimation

  • Tools and theory in deterministic & stochastic optimization

  • Boolean Satisfiability and constraint satisfaction methods and solvers

  • Algorithms for stream processing & sketching with planning applications

  • Approximate dynamic programming & heuristic search advances

  • KR techniques like answer set programming, probabilistic logic programming, and more

 We encourage:

  • Tutorials with hands-on components, participants can explore remotely or asynchronously

  • Tutorials linked to workshops (e.g., tutorials as primers for workshop discussions)
