Nekaj časa nazaj me je nekdo spraševal v zvezi z računanjem z datumi in urami. Tule sem napisal nekaj kratkih namigov kako se rokuje z datumi/časom in kako se računa.

lp,
Roman

Data manipulation with R - Phil Spector is a good reference for date/
time operations. "chron" package is also quite useful.

I've always been eye-balling this title but never got around to check it out. After your recommendation, I've downloaded it and I see that the book contains some interesting topics that should interest most R users. It covers the basics as well, something a person new to R should have a look at.

I'm attaching the front-matter of the book. If you have access to Springerlink via CTK, you can download the entire book. You can use one of the myriad of online pdf merge tools (like www.mergepdf.net) to create one single file or if you're on linux, you can use the pdftk program ("sudo apt-get install pdftk" for people who use debian based distros). The command is

pdftk front-matter.pdf 1.pdf 2.pdf... output output.pdf

Cheers,
Roman

Definitely a great one... it's an unofficial sequel to Dalgaard's
"Introductory Statistics with R"... Novice user should definitely get
a firm grasp on it. I've bumped on it while searching for a good
regular expression tutorial in R... so there's another reference to
Spector's book.

And if you prefer something more advanced, try:

Cryer Jonathan D, Chan Kung-Sik - Time Series Analysis With
Applications in R, Springer
(Springer has an enormous collection of R-books, and this is just the
top of an ice berg... there's a useful topic on SO:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/192369/books-for-learning-the-r-language/2270793#2270793)
